Avery's Birthday Party!

Time for Cake!

Avery loves dogs. Anytime she sees one or hears one she start barking, so I decided to make Avery a puppy cake. She was pretty dainty in her approach to eating it, but really seemed to enjoy it. We sure love Avery and we are so happy she is apart of our family!

Avery's First Easter!

I can't believe how long it has taken me to update our blog! I am sorry for all those who have been wanting updates and have been disappointed. Josh uses the laptop for school, and this has been a very busy semester, so I have not had a chance to update. So much has happened since I last posted, but instead of trying to catch up, I will just start with the recent things and move forward.

For Easter this year we went to visit Josh's family. On Easter morning Avery had a suprise waiting outside her room. An Easter basket! She got some puffs, bubbles, and a toothbrush. She was so excited when she opened the door and saw all her goodies.

I know Heavenly Father can bless parents with an added measure of knowledge to know how to raise our children. I have felt impressed recently to have Avery play the piano often and help her become familiar with it. Maybe one of Avery's talents will be playing the piano well. She looks like a natural.

Here we are before the Easter egg hunt. Avery had six eggs to find and each of the "kids" had two. Inside we found gift certificates and money.

Every time Avery found an egg she wanted us to open it, because she knew there was something yummy inside - dehydrated banana and strawberry pieces!

Warm Weather!

We have been enjoying some warm weather! We have been taking advantage of every opportunity to go outside that we can.

Here we are on a walk. The girl next to Avery is Caitlyn. I watch her a few hours a day a few times a week. I have been watching her since September. Avery has really enjoyed having Caitlyn come over. I would have to say that Caitlyn is one of Avery's favorite people. Caitlyn is about 6 months older than Avery so she can walk and do other things that Avery can't quite do yet (Avery did take her first step on Sunday!). I notice Avery doing some of the things she sees Caitlyn doing more and more lately. It is really cute.

Valentine's Day

Valentine's morning I woke up to a beautiful breakfast! I love Kneader's french toast, so Josh ordered the bread from Kneaders and made me the french toast at home. It was delicious. Josh wanted to get me something else for Valentine's and decided what I would like most was money to go towards the bosch mixer I am saving up for. It was the perfect gift.



That afternoon we went to a birthday party. Here is the birthday boy pushing Avery in his new toy. To finish off our Valentine's day we took Avery to a friends and Josh and I went to Cafe Rio and to see Twilight. We had nice Valentine's Day!
