Trip to Las Vegas

For the 4th of July we decided to take a trip to Las Vegas to see Josh's sister Eleisha and her family. We had such a great time and didn't want to leave. We did lots of fun things. We made ice cream cones (this has become one of our favorite traditions), went to the M&M factory, went bowling, went to see the fireworks, and ate lots of yummy food! Also, Avery's cousin Kayden was nice to share his crib with Avery. She has never slept so well as she did in Las Vegas.

Anniversary and a Birthday

Today our family of 3 went and got some pictures taken. Right before we went Avery was smiling and laughing like crazy, but after falling asleep on the car ride there, she was a little more somber. So we didn't get any pictures with her smiling, but she sure does look cute in them still (and so does her mom)!

So much fun!

Avery is getting to be more and more fun all the time! Lynsey's helped her get onto a nice schedule that helps her be happier and sleep better. In fact, in the past week, she's averaged about 7 hrs of sleep in her longest stretch at night! Josh especially loves the new schedule because Avery is always ready to have lots of fun with him when he gets home from work. Then she's just full of smiles and has lots to say!

Here are the top five things Avery likes to do these days (in no particular order):

• Play on her jungle mat
• Watch the cow that hangs in front of her on her little blue chair (thanks Kristin!)
• Have Dad play with her bottom lip (this gets the most smiles and coohs of all of these)
• Take walks outside facing out where she can see everything
• Take baths (she loves splashing around and also trying to catch the washcloth in her mouth when we wipe around her mouth)
  

Baby Blessing Weekend

We decided to have Avery's baby blessing Memorial Day weekend because Eleisha and Angie and their family were already planning on coming to St. George to see Ryan's graduation the Friday before.
So Friday morning-ish Angie and Eleisha got in, and everyone headed over to Dixie College's basketball arena for the graduation in the early afternoon. To our suprise, the graduation ceremony was very concise and well done!
Saturday afternoon we got to meet up with more friends and family for more fun. First we went to lunch with the Wightman's. At the end of lunch Lynsey's mom got into town with Josh's grandparents, so Josh, Lynsey, and her mom went out shopping in preparation for the blessing the next day. That evening we all met at Josh's parent's (where we're staying for the summer) and had dinner and hung out.
Next came the big day! We made sure we were up a little early Sunday morning so we would be all ready for church without a problem. Avery looked SO precious in her white blessing dress, big white bow, and little white lacy shoes. Josh was a tad bit nervous about the blessing at the beginning of sacrament meeting (mostly we were just hoping Avery would be happy through the end of the blessing, which she was!), but as it came time, he was very excited and loved getting to give the blessing.
Once church was over it was picture time and then lunch time with our family. So here are a few shots of us all on Sunday afternoon:
