Our Drive to Texas!

We finally made it to Texas! We love Texas and have really enjoyed it. It is so pretty and green. It is humid and warm, but we don't mind the heat too much so it's not really a bother. One of my favorite things about Texas is the accent! Everyone that I have talked to has one.

We decided to take three days in hopes to make it more enjoyable for everyone. Avery did great! She was better than most adults. She didn't sleep as much as she normally does but she was still very happy.

When we crossed the Colorado River we decided to stop and take a look over the bridge. Avery loved it! The first thing she wanted to do was throw her binki over. We had to take it from her because there were signs everywhere saying that thrown objects can kill!

Our Stop in St. George

On our way to Texas we stopped in St. George for a few days to visit Josh's family. We went to a splash pad close by and Avery loved it. She had so much fun in it and didn't want to get out.

Family Pictures!

I love getting family pictures. It is something I want our family to do every year. This year we did these through Costco, because the proceeds went to Primary Children's Hospital. This way we got our family pictures and were able to donate to charity!

Fun with Grandma and Grandpa

These pictures were actually taken on Mother's Day, but I never got a chance to post them because our computer was having a difficult time. We finally fixed it but then we moved. Now we are all settled in our new place in Texas so I can add the pictures I didn't get to before. Sorry if you have checked our blog and have been disappointed it never changes. I should be able to update more often. Also, my Mom is begging me to since we aren't close by right now.

So like I said these pics were taken on Mother's day! We had a fun time visiting with my mom. It has been awhile since I have spent mother's day with her, because we seem to be gone in the summers. My dad was teaching Avery to drive the tractor. I thought it made for good pictures. As you can tell from these pictures, Avery loves her grandparents! She is always laughing and smiling when she's with them. Avery is so lucky to have such great grandparents on both sides of the family!

Time for Cake!

Avery loves dogs. Anytime she sees one or hears one she start barking, so I decided to make Avery a puppy cake. She was pretty dainty in her approach to eating it, but really seemed to enjoy it. We sure love Avery and we are so happy she is apart of our family!

Avery's First Easter!

I can't believe how long it has taken me to update our blog! I am sorry for all those who have been wanting updates and have been disappointed. Josh uses the laptop for school, and this has been a very busy semester, so I have not had a chance to update. So much has happened since I last posted, but instead of trying to catch up, I will just start with the recent things and move forward.

For Easter this year we went to visit Josh's family. On Easter morning Avery had a suprise waiting outside her room. An Easter basket! She got some puffs, bubbles, and a toothbrush. She was so excited when she opened the door and saw all her goodies.

I know Heavenly Father can bless parents with an added measure of knowledge to know how to raise our children. I have felt impressed recently to have Avery play the piano often and help her become familiar with it. Maybe one of Avery's talents will be playing the piano well. She looks like a natural.

Here we are before the Easter egg hunt. Avery had six eggs to find and each of the "kids" had two. Inside we found gift certificates and money.

Every time Avery found an egg she wanted us to open it, because she knew there was something yummy inside - dehydrated banana and strawberry pieces!
