Our Wonderful Addition

Last Sunday, April 13th, at 3:54 p.m. Avery Joyce Caplin was born. She came at a perfect time for us, just the weekend we had been hoping for! Josh had worked hard the week before to get all of his last homework assignments done early (just in case), and both Josh and Lynsey had their last days at their jobs the Friday before.

After two nights in the hospital, we finally got to take Avery home to our own apartment. Lynsey was a little nervous to be with out so many nurses at her beck and call while Josh was excited for Avery to get comfortable in her home. Needless to say, these past five days have been full of adventures, and we just love it.

Easter

For Easter we went to Lynsey's Aunt Sherrie's house for an Easter dinner. The entire family was there. Josh noticed a basketball hoop and basketball in the backyard and started shooting around. Not long after, all the guys were out there and they played 5 on 5 basketball. They played until their hands were frozen.

We slept over at Thomas and Angie's house and went with them to church. We went down to temple square and watched the Joseph Smith movie. We stopped at Lynsey's parents house and had birthday cake with them and then headed home. We had a great Easter/birthday weekend!

Joshie's Birthday!

Josh just turned 24! We had lots of fun celebrating for his birthday. We went to the Hogle Zoo with Angie, Thomas, Autumn, and Megan. Josh had never been there before and it had been a few years since Lynsey had been.

We had lots of fun with our nieces Autumn and Megan. Josh loved holding up Autumn so she could see the animals over the fences. Autumn always wanted to be by Josh and hold his hand. Josh usually had Autumn on one hand and Lynsey on the other! Being with our nieces made us even more excited for our own daughter to arrive.

Birthday Cake!!

Josh wanted Lynsey to make him a cake for his special day. Look how many candles are on that cake! We had to use a whole box of candles for him this year. We tried to light them as fast as we could so there would not be too much wax on the cake!

5 Weeks Left!

We are so excited to have a baby. Time is going by so quickly. We cannot believe that there are only five weeks left until the due date! Lynsey feels like cleaning and organizing all the time. She has already organized her side of the closet 2 or 3 times. Josh has been helping Lynsey stay comfortable by doing things such as trading sides of the bed so she can access the bathroom more easily, helping her shop for baby things, and giving her back massages often!

Josh and I have decided that since our family will be expanding we should have a place where our family and friends can see some of the things that our family is doing.
